Near perfection - needs some changes
"This is a wonderful handbag. It allows me to feel organized, and when I wear it, it fits nicely close to my body. However, it has some flaws that could be cured in design and construction. ~ In the photo of the cognac color, my favorite color, it shows a cell phone fitting in the pocket in the zippered drop-down portion. Not realistic. The pocket is too narrow to fit my iPhone 13 (normal size). Plus the pocket is so shallow a phone would stick up beyond the zipper. ~ Instead, I store my phone in the top-zippered portion in an easy-access pocket. However, the pocket where it fits is located at the center of the bag, and the opening for the zipper is at the end —- this means I have to unzip the bag fairly wide just to access my phone. Not ideal. If the top zipper were also a two-way zipper (similar to the drop-down compartment), then one could keep most of the upper zipper closed while accessing the phone. ~ The other pocket, closer to the open end of that zipper, is not really wide enough to fit the phone —- one has to concentrate and even struggle to get it in that pocket; therefore not useful. ~ The little pen pocket in the dropdown portion, is too tight to accommodate my normal pen or pencil. I found a pencil that would fit, but the pocket is so short that the pencil protrudes 1” above the zipper, as would any pen. In other words, the pen pocket is too short to even work - useless. It can be eliminated. ~ I wish the upper zipper were also a curved zipper (similar to the drop-down area) that would allow easier access to that compartment. Sometimes retrieving items from this area is tight, challenging, and uncomfortable. I would make this area 1” deeper front to back. ~ With a few minor improvements/corrections, this purse would near perfection. The bag is very well made, as are all OM bags I own, and the supple leather is beautiful. I always go to OM for a new bag."
